Love Theme - Horse Head

Not long after releasing 'THE GREEN 1' Califoria based Chris Thorne aka Horse Head is back with new material on AMDISCS. Stylistically similar to the January album (even in terms of the cover art) the very short r'n'b-ish 'LOVE THEME' EP is very different from his earlier stuff. Esteban - The Sunny Street

The Sunny Street, formed in 2006, are a twee band from London and this is the video for their newest track 'Esteban' from 'Sacred and Profane', their third, forthcoming album. Elusive female vocals filled with melancholy, my absolute weakness, seem to be perfect for late january nights (or, for me, any other time really). The discography can be found and bought on the Sunny Street's badcamp, including their recent single 'Cygnet' released on the christmas eve and band's last full length album 'Hidden for Decades', along with my personal favourite, track called 'Hit', which is bands first recording available on bandcamp.

Light Lunch - Heavy Deeds

Yet another thing to hear from Old Blackberry Way and another interesting project from Minneapolis I found out about in last few months. 'Light Lunch' is the title track from the debut 12" EP by Heavy Deeds, which is going to be the third release on their vinyl imprint (out early 2013), limited to 150 hand-screened copies, and, as usually, with design and printing by Casey Deming, whose works you can check out at aptlull.com. Band features members of Polica and Pony Trash (I wrote about their self-titled ep in october). Give a listen to their debut single with a very positive classic rock feel and catchy vocals.

Seconds Away - Las Robertas

Las Robertas are three piece band from San José, Costa Rica. They released their debut full-lenght album 'Cry Out Loud' (buy here) over 2 years ago and now they are back with a new single. 'Seconds Away' will be a part of a three-song 7" 'Dissected Affair' out later this year on Art Fag Recordings. Anyone who loves lo-fi indie female bands should be definitely excited for this.

Cherry - Chromatics

Watch the video for the new single taken from 'After Dark 2' by Portland based Chromatics. It is maintained in a style known form other videos for their songs, however this time the director Alberto Rossini joined forces with Adam Miller, band's guitarist, who did part of the filming. The single 'Cherry' can be downloaded for free from soundcloud.
